Yesterday I got a mail package I wasn't expecting... for my suprise, it was a book with one of my splash photos in the cover page!

The book author is Chris Gatcum, I found 2 versions on the web, click to buy on Amazon US or Amazon UK.

I didn't read yet, but looks very interesting, a bunch of creative photography ideas and techniques, explains many DIY (do it yourself) projects in details, great pictures explained inside. It's not a simple author portfolio, the book has photos from different photographers, even the cover is not a photo from the author :)

Ontem recebi um pacote do correio que eu não esperava... para minha surpresa, era um livro com uma das minha fotos de splash na capa!

O autor do livro é Chris Gatcum, eu encontrei 2 versões na web, clique para comprar na Amazon US ou Amazon UK.

Ainda não li, mas parece muito interessante, uma porção de idéias e técnicas para fotografias criativas, explica muitos projetos "faça você mesmo" em detalhes, e ótimas fotos explicadas. Não é um simples portfólio do autor, o livro tem fotos de diferentes fotógrafos, até mesmo a capa não é uma foto do autor :)

Taking my PADI inspiration today from Grac's picture, here's the teetering pile of books next to my bed, the titles of which seem to describe my interests pretty comprehensively. Looking at this in isolation from the rest of my bedroom is weird.

Top book recommendation from this lot - the one on the top right: "On food and cooking" by Harold McGee.
